Executive Therapy

You may find yourself experiencing the following:

  • Overthinking

  • Sleepless nights

  • Irritability

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Difficulty trusting others

  • Feeling disconnected

  • Substance misuse

  • Burnout

  • Work-life imbalance

Experiencing those challenges is merely a byproduct of being a human. We’re all at the mercy of our genetics, and when your brain has too many tabs open, the dispositions that catalyze you towards success may also consume you. Oftentimes, this results in either your work performance or your personal life paying a hefty price.

When you can’t talk to someone about the challenges that you are experiencing, your personal life turns into an isolated venture. At times, some of those challenges will override your intellect and take you over completely. As work constitutes a significant part of your identity, the lines get blurred.

Work setbacks start to feel like personal failures and rejections, meanwhile celebrating small wins becomes a chore as you anticipate subsequent greater challenges - your self-worth should not have to be reliant on your net worth. It’s just not that easy to switch gears and turn-off your work self, which ultimately robs you of experiencing a lasting sense of fulfillment.

Navigating the compounding pressures and expectations that life throws your way can feel like walking a tightrope. The truth is that without addressing your own limiting behaviours and beliefs, you often end up imposing self-constructed roadblocks and getting in your own way.

Together, we can design strategies best suited to your needs in order to attain a healthier work-life balance.

Let’s be real, what you’re dealing with is dynamic and the solution is not to simply reduce your working hours and then suddenly achieve resolution. In order to effectively manage the issues stemming from your personal and professional life, it is important to establish a repertoire of proactive coping strategies to draw from.

My role is to help you pinpoint any underlying stressors, shed light on your inner narratives and beliefs, and equip you with coping strategies to proactively get you to where you want to be.

What would this look like? Together, we will figure out what really matters to you and why, we will find any points of stuckness often related to past issues that have carried into your present life, and of course this will bring us to renegotiating new patterns that will serve you in your life, not just as a working professional, but also as a human.

As a therapist, my approach does not consist of nodding my head, being agreeable and hoping for the best. Rather, I am here to have raw, honest conversations about what is going on for you, and more importantly why, so that you can get unstuck and create sustainable change in your life.
