Toronto and Vancouver Psychotherapist

Here to help you challenge the status quo and create a more fulfilling life for yourself

Background

My name is Hala, and I’m a therapist with a passion to connect with people to help them develop the tools to navigate whatever life throws at you. Over the years, I’ve worked with founders, executives, and individuals navigating themes of stress, responsibility, and the tension between drive and wellbeing.

I was born in Toronto and spent the first few years of my life there and then moved to the UAE. I then moved back to Canada to pursue my post-secondary education and I also made a few bicoastal moves along the way. Having lived and studied in different parts of the world, I learned to build myself from the ground up and to get savvy when the stakes are high. That being said. I draw from various therapeutic modalities and my work is grounded in trauma informed, culturally sensitive practice.

Credentials

I’m trained in a various modalities including but not limited to: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dreamwork, and IFS (Internal Family Systems).

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University. I’m dually registered as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) respectively.
